How do I restore a Pro purchase on a new device?

Open the app → tap the gear icon (Settings) → tap "Unlock Pro" → tap "Restore purchase". The app will check with the App Store or Google Play and unlock Pro if your account has a previous purchase.

Make sure you are signed in to the device with the same Apple ID or Google account that made the original purchase. Apple and Google do not currently support sharing entitlements across platforms (iOS purchase does not unlock Pro on Android, and vice versa).

How do I back up my data?

Open the app → Settings → "Export full backup". This creates a file containing all your codes, categories, vouchers, and team configuration. Save it to cloud storage (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox), email it to yourself, or transfer to another device.

We recommend exporting a backup at least once a week if you are actively using the app.

How do I restore from a backup?

Open the app on the new device → Settings → "Import full backup" → select the backup file. The app will restore your codes, categories, vouchers, and team configuration.

I lost access to my account or device — can you recover my codes?

Unfortunately, no. Because codes. stores everything locally on your device and we operate no server with your data, we have no way to recover lost codes. Please keep a recent backup file in a safe place (cloud storage is fine).

How does Team mode work?

Team mode (Pro feature) lets up to two phones share a code catalog. One phone is the Master (who owns the catalog and loads codes). The other is a Slave (who can give out codes the Master assigns). Transfers between Master and Slave happen via encrypted .pcm files sent through any channel (AirDrop, WhatsApp, email).

Only the Master needs to purchase Pro. Slaves connect for free using a team invite QR code shared by the Master.

What is a partner / bulk distribution?

The bulk distribution feature (Pro) lets you assign a batch of codes to a "partner" (typically another business that resells or gives out your codes). The codes are delivered to the partner as a CSV or PDF file. The partner database tracks which partner received which batch.

What devices does codes. support?

Is there a desktop or web version?

Not currently. codes. is designed for phones and tablets.

How do I request a refund?
